No guest speaker. No advice. No call to action.
Instead, you’ll find a supportive, facilitated circle where people gather to share thoughts and feelings in response to the climate and nature crisis.
The global crisis is heavy: fires, floods, conflict, geopolitical deadlock, the grief of ecosystems unraveling. Many of us carry this compounding weight in silence.
Climate Cafés offer something radical and simple — a regenerative practice to gather, listen and be listened to. Rooted in talking circle traditions and shaped with cultural guidance from Dr. Miriam Rose, Cafés are safe, inclusive spaces where climate emotions are not sidelined but validated.
Come as you are. Whether you’re new to exploring climate emotions or have worked in this field for years, Climate Cafés give you a moment to slow down, to notice how you’re doing and to practise naming feelings in a non-judgemental space.
There may be laughter, there may be tears. Fear, anger, hope, relief. Whatever you are feeling is valid and valued. And if you’d prefer to simply listen, that’s welcome too. Sharing, listening and quiet presence are all part of our Cafés.
Meet others, build friendships and leave with renewed clarity.
Climate Cafés help teams working on the climate and nature crisis reduce staff strain and strengthen relational resilience. We design sessions for staff, volunteers, stakeholders and groups that fit into work cycles and build sustained capacity. Cafés can be held regularly or as a package for your team or group. It's the type of Care-in-Action that supports you long-term.
It’s a space to surrender problem-solving for 90 minutes and voice what may not be welcomed or echoed elsewhere in daily life. You'll be met with curiosity, care and respect.

We are holding space together to have permission to feel, find solidarity, be accepted as you are, to find some relief, create access to new possibilities. When feelings are released and felt, deeper wisdom can be contacted and active hope is cultivated. Join us as we face reality with gratitude, honouring our pain and creating new possibilities.

Geoff presents a Climate Cafe as part of a collapse aware community in the Eurobodalla. Sharing how we really feel about the breakdown of our beautiful ecosystem, amidst increasing societal crises, could never be important. We share love for nature, grief at the state of the planet, anxieties for the future and comfort in our shared love and compassion. Every feeling is allowed in a spirit of mutual respect and support. Please email Geoff if you are interested in this or other Nature Calling events in the area (Broulee, Moruya, Batemans Bay, Mogo etc).

Climate Cafés are more than conversations. They spark connection, build capacity and transform communities. Choose your level of involvement; stay a participant, or step into facilitation and hosting with peer support. Each pathway strengthens skills, expands networks of care and builds the resilience our communities need for sustainable climate action.
A Climate Café is a warm, welcoming space to talk, listen and reflect on the global crisis. Expect open conversation, gentle facilitation and a community that values sharing and connection.
Share openly in a safe circle
Be present with yourself and others. It's not a workshop, just real people, real stories, real connections.
Because sometimes being heard is more powerful than being solved.
Release the pressure valve
Slow down, breathe out and drop the weight of the world for a while. We hold a lot, here we practice letting go for a moment. It's a pause that restores.
Rest and reset are essential for building the psychology we need for a safe climate.
Space for every feeling
Outrage, grief, frustration, courage, joy — nothing is out of place. Quiet is part of the conversation too; silence and reflection are always welcome here.
Honouring and processing our climate emotions in a healthy environment helps prepare us for healthy climate engagement.
Growing inner strength
Each Café nurtures the capacity we need for collective transformation.
Building inner resilience is the groundwork for collective change.
Many voices, one circle
People from all walks of life, at every stage of the climate journey, come together here. Whether you're a student, farmer, scientist, parent, activist, tradie, philanthropist, politician or civilian, no matter your background, or understanding and feelings of the climate and nature crisis, everyone has a seat at the round table.
Diversity deepens the circle, every voice widens our perspective and strengthens the collective understanding that break barriers down.
No pressure to fix or be fixed.
This is not about solutions or debate. It doesn't matter if we agree or disagree, if we feel helpful or helpless, because the solidarity is in the being real, together.
Trusting communities grow when we let go of performance and pressure to be perfect.
"I’ve done three Climate Cafés and it’s surprising, when given the opportunity to share, how much I discover that my life is really being affected by the climate crisis. Spending this time really helps to lighten the load."
Climate Cafés show that by making space to share climate feelings, we not only help individuals cope — we build the collective resilience communities need to face the future together.
Of Climate Café participants felt less isolated and/or alone.
Of Climate Café participants felt connected to like-minded people.
Of Climate Café participants felt supported to share their emotions.
