I have trained and worked in a number of different fields such as teaching, youth work, and training unemployed people. I was a Lifeline counsellor for 5 years. During that time, I became a duty supervisor and assisted with training. I gained experience in drug and alcohol counselling through Barwon Health and relationship counselling through Relationships Australia. I worked as a psychological counsellor and Job Capacity Assessor to unemployed people for several years. I have been in private practice as a Counselling Psychologist since 2008 and have always found it an enormous privilege to be there for people in their time of need. Now there is an increasing need to be there to support people suffering from Climate Change-related anxiety. (Medicare rebates are available for those on Mental Health Plans obtained from your GP).
