About me
I have worked as a counsellor / psychologist for 25+ years. My clinical background is in child and adolescent mental health (Kids Helpline / child and youth mental health service / school psychologist), however I have provided therapy for adults and families for the last 15 years. I recently commenced a research PhD at the University of Sydney and I am part of the Ecological Emotions Research Lab.

In 2019, I graduated from a Master of Mental Health specialising in Family Therapy, and my research project led to an article published in the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Family Therapy. It is called: Integrative practice for the beginning family therapist: Bringing it back to basics, and is required reading for students at the Queensland Institute of Family Therapy.

I grew up in Brisbane and moved to northern New South Wales in 2011. My cultural background is Italian. My mother was born in a village near Venice, and my father was born near Naples. My parents immigrated to Australia as children with their families. As the first-born of my generation I’m named after my paternal grandmother, Caterina, who was named after her paternal grandmother.
