About me Dr. Michelle Hamrosi is a dedicated General Practitioner and Lactation Consultant with a keen focus on women, children, and mental health. In addition to her clinical work, she serves as a Clinical Lecturer for the Australian National University (ANU) and holds the role of Community Engagement Officer for the Australian Breastfeeding Association's (ABA) Community Protection for Infants and Young Children in Bushfire Emergencies Project.
As a passionate advocate, Dr. Hamrosi volunteers as an ABA Breastfeeding Counsellor and Group Leader for the ABA Eurobodalla Group, creating a supportive community for new parents. Dr. Hamrosi contributes to community resilience by facilitating group events, including intergenerational art workshops, fostering connections and empowerment within her community. Committed to broader health issues, she is an active member of Doctors for the Environment, Climate and Health Alliance, and Australian Parents for Climate Action.
Outside of her professional and volunteer commitments, Dr. Hamrosi finds solace in gardening and immersing herself in nature. She enjoys free-diving, growing edible mushrooms and keeping backyard bees and chickens.
