PSC’s Climate Aware Practitioner (CAP) Therapist Intervision (peer-supported supervision) group is now open for registrations. for the second half of 2024

The dates for this stream are as follows (all times are AEDT/AEST – Melbourne/Sydney time)

This Intervision group will explore:

  • Client intake (climate-aware)
  • Case studies and group discussions
  • Interventions
  • Nature-based interventions
  • Emerging research and networks
  • Exploring the eco-bio-psycho-social model
  • Your burning questions

The intention is for you, as climate aware practitioners, to feel a sense of community, connection to colleagues, and a space for professional belonging, identity, and collegiality to sustain the work we do. This Climate Aware peer Intervision will allow a co-created space to enrich your professional and personal contact in the world of Climate Aware Therapists. We look forward to sharing space with you in this series.

Places in this stream are limited to 12 participants.

Cost:

$360 for 4 sessions over 4 months

Facilitators:

Christie Wilson

Christie is PSC’s Climate-Aware Practitioner Program Coordinator. She brings a wealth of experience supporting practitioners in bringing climate psychology into their clinical practice, mentoring the practitioner’s climate journey, and facilitating group processes around climate emotions. She designed and facilitated the inaugural Intervision Group for PSC in 2022 and co-designed the CAP Facilitator Training with Beth Hill. Christie developed the Regen101 program focusing on Earth Emotions and Regenerative Cultures. In her practice, she provides activists, organisers, and climate and environmental advocacy groups with mental health and burnout support, pre and post-action debriefings, and movement-wide regenerative development.

Christie holds a Master of Psychotherapy (Gestalt) focused on the somatic, is a clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), and is an accredited Fellow of the Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS).

 

Bronwyn Gresham

Bronwyn was appointed as CEO of PSC in October 2023, having been a longstanding member and volunteer with PSC since 2012. She is a registered clinical psychologist who has worked across the community health, private practice and university sectors in clinical services, advisory, leadership, strategic planning, risk management, mental health promotion and prevention. Bronwyn is passionate about emerging holistic, collaborative and collective approaches to emotional, psychological and social health and wellbeing, as we live in and respond to the climate crisis.

By registering for an event, workshop, forum or activity hosted by Psychology for a Safe Climate (PSC event), I understand and agree that:

  • A PSC event may include experiential components in which participants work in a group format to discuss their thoughts and feelings, facilitated by the workshop leader(s). Although the leader(s) is/are accredited mental health professional(s), and trained facilitator(s) with PSC, these group experiences are not therapy groups, and the facilitator(s) will not engage in rendering any psychotherapeutic or healthcare advice, or advice of any kind for any individual or for their particular situation.
  • PSC does not provide medical, mental health or any other type of healthcare service. No diagnosis or treatment of, or advice regarding, any medical or mental health condition or illness of any participant can or will be offered by PSC.
  • Participation in a PSC event cannot substitute for, and is not an alternative to, medical or other healthcare diagnosis and treatment when a medical or mental health condition or illness is present.
  • It is my personal responsibility to seek diagnosis, treatment and advice regarding medical or mental health conditions from physicians, psychotherapists and other accredited healthcare Professionals.
