Previous participants of PSC’s Climate Cafe Facilitator Training are invited to continue the learning journey in 2024 in Climate Cafe Intervision, a series of peer-to-peer support sessions for those facilitating, or working towards facilitating climate cafes in their own community.

During 2023, we had many vibrant and helpful conversations with Climate Cafe facilitators and this is an opportunity to continue those conversations with those who wish to gather in 2024 for facilitated peer-to-peer support.

Topics that may be discussed:

  • Facilitation of Climate Cafes in disaster-affected communities.
  • Intergenerational conversations
  • Framework of the Climate Cafe Model and Best Practice
  • Finding a co-facilitator
  • Managing Grief in a Climate Cafe
  • Personal preparedness to facilitate a Climate Cafe

All sessions are Monday nights, 6pm – 7pm (ADST or AEST  – Melbourne/Sydney timezone)

Our Early-bird package offer to register for the entire year has now closed.

Single sessions of Climate Cafe Facilitator Intervision are available to book (until full) as single sessions at $50/$75 each.

Anyone who has completed PSC’s Climate Cafe Facilitator Training is welcomed at any single session on a drop-in basis, if/while places remain.

All income from this Intervision series goes towards the operational functions of PSC, a registered charity. Please get in touch with Beth if financial circumstances would be a barrier to participating.

PSC Membership requirement

Note: in order to take part in this series of peer-to-peer support sessions, you will need to be a PSC member & join our Community Hub.

If you are not a PSC member – Become a PSC member. If the cost of annual membership is out of your reach at the moment, please email us to discuss.

If you are already a member of PSC but have not yet joined the Community Hub, email us for a special member link to join our new Community Hub with your current membership.

As with events, PSC membership fees go directly back into the cost of operations for PSC to continue running our programs.

By registering for an event, workshop, forum or activity hosted by Psychology for a Safe Climate (PSC event), I understand and agree that:

 

  1. A PSC event may include experiential components in which participants work in a group format to discuss their thoughts and feelings, facilitated by the workshop leader(s). Although the leader(s) is/are accredited mental health professional(s), and trained facilitator(s) with PSC, these group experiences are not therapy groups, and the facilitator(s) will not engage in rendering any psychotherapeutic or healthcare advice, or advice of any kind for any individual or for their particular situation.
  2. PSC does not provide medical, mental health or any other type of healthcare service.  No diagnosis or treatment of, or advice regarding, any medical or mental health condition or illness of any participant can or will be offered by PSC.
  3. Participation in a PSC event cannot substitute for, and is not an alternative to, medical or other healthcare diagnosis and treatment when a medical or mental health condition or illness is present.
  4. It is my personal responsibility to seek diagnosis, treatment and advice regarding medical or mental health conditions from physicians, psychotherapists and other accredited healthcare Professionals.   5. Waiver of liability: I assume full responsibility for any risk, injury or damage, known or unknown, which I may incur through my registration in a PSC event. I acknowledge that PSC is not liable for any discomfort or distress which may arise because of my registration in a PSC event. I waive, release and discharge PSC from all liability and claims made as a result of my registration.
